Nurture Democracy Graphic

I designed this graphic some time back (1980) as part of a short-lived venture with a friend that we named, Products for Democracy.  Before the general demands of graduate school and life took over, we sold bumper stickers and t-shirts using this graphic and various phrases to publicize workplace democracy in particular and democracy in general. Now, I have decided to make it the logo for Nurture Democracy.

The meaning is as follows: The small outer circles are either individuals or groups. These are connected to each other and to the center circle. The center circle is a community, large or small.  The idea is that all are made stronger and more vital through these connections.  The graphic is meant to be a representation of citizenship and community as the foundation of Democracy.
